The article examines the effectiveness of the project method based on STEM technology in teaching organic chemistry at universities. Relevance of the research due to the fact that organic chemistry is complex and necessary, the possibility of increasing students' interest in the subject and correlating theoretical knowledge with practical ones was considered. To this end, the integration of project-based learning and STEM technologies creates conditions for the development of students' skills in research, creative and critical thinking. The purpose of the study is to show the effectiveness of the project approach based on STEM technologies in improving the level of mastering by 3rd-year students of organic chemistry at universities and to analyze the advantages and possible difficulties encountered in its application. The research used methods of theoretical analysis, pedagogical control, questionnaires and comparative analysis of the results obtained. The results of the study show that the use of STEM technologies based on project-based learning in organic chemistry lessons increases students' learning motivation. In addition, this approach helps students develop practical skills and focus on future professional activities. Based on the results obtained, the article offers methodological recommendations for improving the learning process of organic chemistry.
